Message from teachers and counselors
Trident offers subjects that help students prepare for university entrance, such as mathematics, Japan and the World (social studies), physics, chemistry, writing, and interview preparation. In addition, there are optional topics available for the study of Japanese culture, such as Practical Japanese culture, Japanese Business Manners, Budo(Karate), etc. There are also subjects which make use of the know-how from other departments in Trident college, such as Basic Patisserie , Color Coordinating, Comic Illustration, etc. Students can choose subjects according to their individual interests or purpose.
Each semester, a scholarship is given to a select group of students who exhibit high academic achievement and good conduct. An award for perfect attendance is also given to students who have not missed a single class. Additionally, students may apply for a scholarship sponsored by the Japanese Government.

support for enjoying your stay
There are some events at Trident such as field trips, a Bon Dance festival, and a Japanese calligraphy contest which provide students with the opportunity to learn Japanese culture through first hand experience.
There are many opportunities to meet Japanese students in Trident because many Japanese students study on the same campus. Through some events at Trident that are held jointly with the Japanese students, foreign students from other countries are able to have many cross-cultural experiences.
At Trident, each class has one teacher who acts as a tutor. There are also counselors who are proficient in foreign languages such as Chinese, Korean and English. If students have trouble in their daily lives and cannot express themselves in Japanese, they are free to consult their class tutor and counselor, who are always willing to help.
